Environmental Services
For any questions and inquiries pertaining to prohibited, noxious and nuisance weeds in the municipality, contact the RM of Chesterfield office
Pest control is coordinated by the municipality’s foreman and the Pest Control Officer, contact the RM of Chesterfield office to inquire.
Note: Our Pest Control Officer is equipped to deal with mice, gophers, and rats.
For any wild animal inquires and concern, contact your local Conservation Officer at 1-800-567-4224 (This includes deer, bats, moose, etc.)

There are no other landfills or nuisance grounds within the municipality, but ratepayers may use facilities at Alsask, Empress, or Sibbald.
The R.M. has three (3) blue recycle bins from Triways. All ratepayers are encouraged to use the recycle bin. One Bin will be placed at the nuisance grounds and the other two behind Eatonia Agencies (same location as the green bins).

Public Works/ Maintenance
Custom work services are offered to residents of the municipality include driveway grading, snow removal, mowing, etc. To schedule custom work, contact our Foreman.
Grading of roads is done on a regular rotation basis with grid roads and high traffic roads being our first priority.
All grader work is coordinated by the Foreman and the Council.
For our ratepayers inquiring about grading in their division, your first line of contact is with our foreman and your division Councillor. Refer to our Custom Work Rates for grading prices.
Each primary residence in our municipality is allowed a MAXIMUM of 2 loads of gravel per calendar year. To be added to our gravel list, contact our office.

Mayfield Cemetery

The Gorefield Pioneer Cemetery is located some 5 kilometres south and 3 kilometres west of Laporte, Saskatchewan. The cemetery is no longer active and maintenance is sparse. The one Commonwealth war grave is marked with an upright Commission headstone.
